main st. in downtown has changed sooo much over the years. with "shi-shi" lofts, little galleries, and high end pet shops, but again theres some old 1950's LA thrown into the mix.
the nickel diner was reopened by 3 women and restored into an amazing diner with a cute 50's feel, deeeeelish breakfast, and killer donuts.
seriously..the donuts are INCREDIBLE. i had the strawberry crumble..it was soo fucking good, but theyre supposed to be famous for their maple glazed bacon donut..which didnt sound so yummy to me.
go try it! its easy to get there by train too-just get off on the hill st. station and walk about 2 blocks up to main :)
